Terms of Service

Last updated: 4/21/2026

Acceptance

By using Spinly you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Use of the service

Spinly provides free random-decision tools (spin the wheel, random picker, team generator, raffle, and random number generator) for personal, educational, and professional use, including a real-time "Live Mode" where multiple people can join a shared session with a 6-digit code, an optional free account with a public leaderboard, an optional paid subscription, and a developer API. You agree not to:

  • Use Spinly for illegal gambling or unlicensed lotteries.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the service.
  • Scrape or republish the site at scale without permission.
  • Submit unlawful, abusive, harassing, or personally identifying content as a name, username, display name, color, avatar, or other input — especially in Live Mode where other participants can see it.
  • Attempt to bypass moderation actions (banned codes, banned browser identifiers, banned display names, locked sessions) by clearing storage, switching browsers, altering names, creating additional accounts, or similar evasion techniques.
  • Use the developer API to send automated traffic that exceeds the published rate limits or to deliver content that violates these terms.

Accounts

You can use most of Spinly without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for all activity that happens under your account. Choose a username and display name you'd be comfortable seeing publicly, for example on the leaderboard or in live rooms — these are visible to other users. Usernames can be changed once every 7 days.

You can request deletion of your account at any time from the account menu. Deletion is scheduled for 30 days, can be cancelled within that window, and after processing removes the data described in our privacy policy. Some moderation records may be retained for safety reasons. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Live Mode & user-submitted content

When you join or host a live session, the names, ticket counts, colors, and other choices you submit are stored on our backend so other participants in the same session can see them. See our privacy policy for details. You are responsible for the content you submit. Hosts can require accounts to join, set per-user limits, lock joins, kick or ban participants, end the session at any time, and configure their own host defaults. Hosts are responsible for content in their rooms.

Leaderboard & stats

The public leaderboard displays your username, display name, avatar, and aggregated win/loss/win-rate stats once you reach the qualifying number of games. By creating an account and participating in live rooms while signed in, you agree to have this aggregated information shown publicly. Spinly may correct or remove leaderboard entries that result from abuse, cheating, or violations of these terms.

Subscriptions & billing

Spinly offers an optional paid subscription. Pricing, renewal cadence, and the features included are shown on the checkout page at the time of purchase. By subscribing you authorize the third-party payment provider to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

  • You can cancel at any time from the subscription page. If you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period and then ends.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable once a billing period has started.
  • We may change subscription pricing or features going forward; existing subscribers will be notified before any price increase takes effect on their next renewal.
  • If a payment fails or your subscription lapses, paid features may stop working until billing resumes.
  • Disputes, chargebacks, or fraudulent payment activity may result in immediate suspension of your account and the paid features.

Developer API

If you generate an API key, you are responsible for keeping it secret. Anyone with your key can make requests that count against your usage. You agree to follow the documented endpoints, request shapes, and rate limits. We may revoke keys that abuse the service, exceed limits, or are used to violate these terms. You may revoke your own keys at any time from the API keys page.

Moderation & admin actions

Spinly is actively moderated. The site administrator may, at any time and without prior notice:

  • End or delete any live session, including disconnecting all participants currently in that session.
  • Lock a session so that the host can no longer reopen it. Admin-locked sessions cannot be unlocked by the host.
  • Ban a 6-digit session code so that the room cannot be re-created or rejoined under that code.
  • Ban a browser identifier site-wide, which removes all of that browser's entries from every active session and prevents it from joining any session in the future.
  • Suspend or delete an account, revoke its API keys, or remove its leaderboard entries.
  • Disable individual tools, Live Mode for specific tools, or Live Mode entirely via site-wide kill switches.

Admin moderation decisions are final at our discretion. If you believe a moderation action was applied in error, you may contact us via the contact page, but we are under no obligation to reverse a moderation decision.

Intellectual property

The Spinly name, branding, design, and software are owned by us. You retain ownership of the content you submit (names, templates, avatar images, etc.) and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, transmit, and process it solely to operate Spinly — for example, showing your entries to other participants in your live session or rendering your avatar on the leaderboard.

No warranty

Spinly is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The randomization is intended for entertainment and casual decision-making. We do not guarantee statistical perfection, uptime, fairness in any specific run, or fitness for any specific purpose. Do not use Spinly to make decisions where certified randomness is legally or financially required.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spinly and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the service, including lost data, lost profits, or decisions made based on a generated result. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or, if you are a non-paying user, USD $50.

Advertising

Spinly displays ads served by Google AdSense and other partners. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads. See our privacy policy for details. Paid subscribers may have ads suppressed as part of their subscription benefits.

Changes

We may update these terms at any time as Spinly evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.
